Delhi reports marginal rise in new Covid cases, no deaths
Meanwhile, the Covid positivity rate has slightly risen to 5.34 per cent, while the number of active cases stands at 5,939 in the capital city. With 1,438 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone to 18,62,136. The number of patients being treated in home isolation stands at 4,340.

Petition in Allahabad HC to open 20 rooms in Taj Mahal
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) media in-charge of Ayodhya district, Dr Rajneesh Singh has filed the petition which is yet to come up for hearing. Advocate Rudra Vikram Singh is representing the petitioner in court. "There is an old controversy related to the Taj Mahal. Around 20 rooms in Taj Mahal are locked and no one is allowed to enter. It is believed that in these rooms there are idols of Hindu gods and scriptures," said Dr Rajneesh Singh.
India logs 3,451 new Covid cases, 40 deaths
In the same period, 40 new Covid fatalities took the nationwide death toll to 5,24,064. The active caseload of the country has increased to 20,635 cases, accounting for 0.05 per cent of the country's total positive cases. The recovery of 3,079 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,25,57,495. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.
ULFA-I executes two members for 'spying
The ULFA-I in a statement said that it has "awarded death sentences to two moles" who according to the outfit were allegedly involved in "spying on behalf of Assam police and Army" against the prescribed outfit. Later, in a video message ULFA-I's self-styled chief Paresh Barua said that the "death sentence" was executed by killing Dhanjit Das and Sanjib Sarma.
Crossing in Ayodhya to be named after Lata Mangeshkar
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Ayodhya administration to identify a prominent crossing in the temple town and send a proposal to the state government in the next 15 days for renaming it after Lata Mangeshkar. Songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar that were dedicated to Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman would also be played in Ayodhya. The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has started identifying prominent crossings across the city.
Punjab & Haryana HC stays arrest of Bagga till May 10
The BJP leader moved to the High Court while challenging the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him by a Mohali Court on Saturday. The urgent hearing of the plea was held at the residence of Justice Anoop Chitkara in Chandigarh. Earlier, the High Court on Saturday adjourned the hearing on Bagga's case, in which the police of three states were involved, till May 10.
