Will not be cowed down, says AIMIM after attack on Owaisi
Party leader and Telangana MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan said the party will not be cowed down by such incidents. Khan said such attacks were not new for the party as it made many sacrifices during the last 65 years. The AIMIM leader said the party's opponents, especially the communal forces, were afraid of its growing popularity. He said the public meetings being addressed by Owaisi in Uttar Pradesh were drawing lakhs of people and the party's opponents were unable to digest this.
Three more NE state capitals to be linked by rail 2024-2026: NFR
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Anshul Gupta said that of the ongoing new railway projects - the 45-km-long Sivok-Rangpo (close to Gangtok) in Sikkim would be completed next year while the 111-km-long Jiribam-Imphal in Manipur and 52-km-long Bairabi-Sairang (in Aizawl district) in Mizoram would be commissioned in 2024, and the 83-km-long Dimapur-Zubza (near Kohima) in Nagaland would be completed in 2026.

Delhi records coldest February day since 2003
Delhi had recorded a maximum of 14.3 degrees Celsius in February 2003. As per the IMD data, the national capital had recorded a maximum of 12.3 degrees Celsius in 1970 and 13.9 degrees Celsius in 1954, thereby, making Thursday, the fourth coldest day in February in almost seven decades. The national capital along with its adjoining areas received light rain this evening. The drizzle, accompanied by strong winds up to 30-40 kmph, led to the maximum temperature dropping by almost 8°C.
J&K Delimitation Commission might get another extension
The Commission, headed by former Supreme Court judge, Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai was constituted on March 6, 2020 and its term was extended by another year in March 2021. Its other members are Chief Election Commissioner, Sushil Chandra and J&K Election Commissioner, K.K.Sharma. Sources said the Commission is meeting this month to decide on its second extension and the period of that extension.
