Aizawl to become 4th state capital in NE to have rail link

Assam's main city of Guwahati (adjoining capital Dispur), Tripura capital Agartala, and Arunachal Pradesh's Naharlagun (adjacent to capital city Itanagar) are already connected with the railway network. NFR officials said that the BG line being laid in the Bairabi (near Assam's Hailakandi district) - Sairang (52 km) section in Mizoram's Aizawl district, and the Rs 6,547 crore project would be completed in November 2023.

Birbhum violence case: CBI sets up camp office in Bengal's Rampurhat

Following the orders of the Calcutta High Court, a team of forensic experts led by the CBI officials went to Rampurhat and collected samples on March 25. Before the court order, the local police had lodged a case and had claimed to have arrested 10 people. The BJP and the others had accused the Trinamool Congress of sheltering the accused. The BJP had accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of trying to cover up the incident. Trinamool had denied all the charges.

12 journalists killed in Ukraine since beginning of war

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Venediktova said besides the 12 victims, there were 10 other journalists who "have received injuries of varying severity", Ukayinska Pravda reported. According to the Prosecutor General, the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations indicates that the Russians have committed crimes against at least 56 members of the media, 15 of them citizens of other countries.
Yogi inaugurates Gorakhpur-Varanasi flight

Mayor says Ukraine's western city of Lviv under attack
