Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the long-anticipated F-16 fighter jets had finally touched base in Ukraine.
"The F-16s are already in Ukraine. We did it," Zelensky posted on Telegram on Sunday.
He said Ukrainian pilots have already begun flying the new aircraft, adding he would not give details of how many jets were delivered, reported Xinhua news agency.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Denmark, the Netherlands, the US, and other allies who will supply the F-16s to Kyiv.
On Western reports, Ukraine received its first tranche of 10 F-16 fighter aircraft on the last day of July.
