Ignited by a distressed Trump speech, a confederate flag-waving public broke through the security and swarmed inside the Capitol building, reckoning the offices and entering the legislative floors.

Security forces fired tear gas in a four-hour operation to clear the Capitol. Police said a woman, reportedly a Trump partisan from southern California, was shot and killed and three others died in the area in circumstances that were unclear.

Trump further incited the mob by making a false claim on his social media accounts, which did not only result in an aggravated outrage from the mob but also made him lose his social media accounts temporarily.

However, he spoke soft words and bid a warm goodbye to his supporters as a President of the country, he further said that his sole term at the office was ‘the honour of a lifetime’.

And he offered an unequivocal denunciation of Wednesday's violence, saying "tempers must be cooled and calm restored."
