According to Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Western nations are actively engaging in a conflict against Russia through their support for Ukraine's use of foreign weaponry. This assertion follows statements made by British Foreign Secretary David Cameron during his recent trip to Kiev. Cameron expressed on Friday that Ukraine possesses the right to utilize British arms to target locations within Russian territory, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Zakharova emphasized that Cameron's remarks essentially acknowledge that "the West is openly engaging in hostilities against Russia via Ukrainian proxies."
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin's spokesman, declared on Friday that Cameron's comments were "another dangerous statement." Peskov went on to say that such statements only aggravate the tensions around the Ukrainian conflict to the extent that it can seriously compromise European security. He added that Moscow would definitely feel the increasing aggression emanating from official sources.
