United States President Donald Trump has mounted a vicious verbal attack on Tesla CEO Elon Musk, calling him a "train wreck" and accusing him of losing control in the last few weeks. The attack was made after Musk announced the launch of a new political movement in the United States, which he is calling the "America Party."
In a long post on his social media site, Truth Social, Trump stated, "I am disappointed to see Elon Musk go totally 'off the rails,' basically turning into a TRAIN WRECK these last five weeks. He even wants to begin a Third Political Party, not withstanding that they have never been successful in the United States - The System does not appear to be designed for them."
The only thing Third Parties are useful for is generating Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have plenty of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their sanity! Republicans, however, are a smoothly operating 'machine,' that just enacted the largest Bill of its type in the History of our Nation.
Trump used the moment to boast about his recently signed legislation, which he referred to as the "One Big Beautiful Bill." Trump touted it as a significant triumph and said it eliminated what he characterized as the "ridiculous Electric Vehicle (EV) Mandate," a requirement he insists would have prompted Americans to accelerate their shift to electric vehicles.
It is a Great Bill," Trump declared, "but, unfortunately" for Musk, it did away with the EV mandate. He stressed that buyers are now free to purchase any vehicle—"Gasoline Powered, Hybrids (which are doing very well), or New Technologies as they come about - No more EV Mandate."
The American leader disclosed that he had been opposed to such mandates all along and made this clear during his campaign. Trump further asserted that Musk had supported him even after learning of his intentions to cancel the EV rule. "I have campaigned on this for two years and, quite honestly, when Elon gave me his total and unquestioned Endorsement, I asked him whether or not he knew that I was going to terminate the EV Mandate - It was in every speech I made, and in every conversation I had.". He said he had no issues with that - I was truly amazed!
"Trump went on to denounce Musk's interference in government affairs, including a request for the appointment of a close ally to head NASA. Trump explained that while the candidate was capable, he was opposed to it because of his political affiliations.". "Also, Elon requested that one of his good friends head NASA and, although I believed his friend to be extremely good, I was surprised to find out that he was a blue blooded Democrat, who had never given money to a Republican before. Elon likely was, too.". I also felt it inapt that a very close friend of Elon, who belonged to the Space Business, should head NASA, while NASA is such an integral part of Elon's business life.

" At the same time, Elon Musk, in his biting criticism of Republican and Democratic establishments, blamed the two powerful political parties for propelling America towards economic ruin. Over the weekend, Musk asserted that the existing system in America is no longer democratic. "Bipartisan corruption and waste are bankrupting America. Not democracy — a one-party system by another name," Musk posted. "The America Party exists to restore your freedom to you."
