Tragedy Strikes: Indian Student in US Fatally Assaulted by Homeless Drug Addict

In a tragic incident in Lithonia city, Georgia, a 25-year-old Indian student, Vivek Saini, who had recently completed his MBA in the US, was brutally attacked and killed by a homeless drug addict named Julian Faulkner. The distressing incident unfolded on camera as Faulkner mercilessly struck Saini nearly 50 times on the head with a hammer.

Saini, employed part-time as a clerk at a store that provided shelter to Faulkner, had shown kindness to the assailant for almost two days. He had offered Faulkner chips, a coke, water, and even a jacket for warmth. Unfortunately, the horrifying turn of events occurred on January 16 when Saini, concerned for his safety, requested Faulkner to leave or face police intervention.

Upon police arrival at the scene, they discovered Faulkner standing over Saini's lifeless body. The young student, who had migrated to the US two years ago after completing his B Tech, had recently achieved his Master’s in Business Administration.

Saini's family in Haryana is mourning the loss of their promising son, remembering him as a brilliant student with aspirations for a decent job. His parents, Gurjeet Singh and Lalita Saini, are devastated and currently unable to discuss the tragic incident.
