Leaders reiterated their unwavering commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific that is both inclusive and resilient. The 2024 Quad Summit, originally planned for India on January 27, has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts among member countries.

To further enhance Indo-Pacific partnerships, Blinken mentioned the United States' collaboration with the UK and Australia to develop nuclear-powered submarines. Additionally, the U.S. has initiated comprehensive strategic partnerships with Vietnam and Indonesia, a Defense Cooperation Agreement with the Philippines, trilateral initiatives with the Philippines and Japan, and the establishment of new embassies in the Solomon Islands and Tonga.
