SpaceX, in a blog post, detailed the fourth flight test as the path toward orbit, demonstrating the capability to recover and reuse Starship and Super Heavy components. Essential will be the landing burn and safe splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico by the Super Heavy booster, and controlled entry of Starship.

In the pursuit of greater reliability, SpaceX announced several software and hardware upgrades. Importantly, as with previous test flights, Starship Flight 4 will not have to utilize a deorbit burn for re-entry—that ensures public safety while keeping the primary mission of a controlled re-entry.
