Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake arrived in New Delhi on Sunday for his three-day visit to India, marking his first foreign trip since assuming office in September.
Randhir Jaiswal, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson on X said, "Warm and special welcome! President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Sri Lanka warmly welcomed by MoS Dr L Murugan upon arrival in New Delhi. First Bilateral visit to India after taking office as President by President Disanayake. Chance to further deepen the bonds of India-Sri Lanka and momentum to people-centric partnership.
During the visit, Dissanayake will meet President Droupadi Murmu and hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on bilateral issues of mutual interest.
