Russia has no timetable for ending special operation in Ukraine, says Kremlin

"We have to fulfill the goals which were set at the beginning of the special military operation," Peskov said on Friday on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum currently underway in Russia's Far East city of Vladivostok.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia would continue its special military operation until all objectives were achieved, and for the time being, there was no deadline as to when it would be wrapped up.

"We have to fulfill the goals which were set at the beginning of the special military operation," Peskov said on Friday on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum currently underway in Russia's Far East city of Vladivostok.

What is required, he said, is to ensure security and predictability for future generations, as well as to give the entire continent a new security structure. Xinhua news agency reported.

The press secretary said that in terms of when this special operation should actually be finally completed, there are no specific time limits.

"The timing is not important here," Peskov pointedly noted, although he expressed hope that all this will happen sooner rather than later.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 3-6, 2024 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University .
