Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah declared on Friday that the killing of Hamas politburo member Saleh al Arouri in Beirut, allegedly in an Israeli attack, will not go unanswered. In a televised address, Nasrallah emphasized that Hezbollah "cannot accept" this alleged Israeli assassination and remaining silent would be more detrimental than the potential risks of responding.
Nasrallah refrained from specifying the timing or location of any retaliation, asserting that the forces on the ground would determine the appropriate response. He underscored that Hezbollah cannot stay silent about such a grave violation, as it would jeopardize Lebanon, its cities, and prominent figures.
Furthermore, Nasrallah clarified that Hezbollah initiated attacks on Israel to divert the attention of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and alleviate pressure on factions in Gaza.
