PM Modi Heads to Delhi After a Successful US Visit

Giving insights into the trip, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri detailed the Prime Minister's activities, including meetings with a number of notable personalities like newly appointed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Misri also added that the in-depth deliberations at the White House, lasting four hours, were centered around a broad agenda of key issues, ranging from strategic and security cooperation to defence relations, trade, economic cooperation, technology, energy security, and regional as well as international affairs.

At a press conference, Misri underlined, "The Prime Minister has concluded a highly significant and outcome-focused visit to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump. This is his first official visit since President Trump started his second term, marking the importance that both leaders attach to enhancing India-US relations."

The warm embrace of PM Modi and President Trump at the White House indicated the robust relationship between the two nations. Trump referred to the bilateral relationship as one that was based on "great unity and friendship" and reiterated the need for further cooperation.

Expressing his excitement about Trump's return to power, PM Modi expressed his hope of the strengthening of India-US ties further. He also welcomed that his re-election to a third consecutive term was a milestone day for India.

Significantly, PM Modi is one of the first world leaders to visit the United States after President Trump's second-term inauguration and within three weeks of the new government taking over.
