In the two-minute 52 second clip from The Daily Show, titled "Unpacking the Backlash to Rishi Sunak", and viewed more than a million times, Noah is seen targeting British people who he claims were unhappy with Sunak's appointment due to his Indian heritage. Former UK Chancellor Sajid Javid slammed the clip on Twitter, saying: "Simply wrong. A narrative catered to his audience, at a cost of being completely detached from reality."
UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly to arrive in India on Friday
Cleverly will first pay his respects to those who lost their lives in the 26/11 terror attacks at the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai in 2008. On Saturday, Cleverly will travel to Delhi wherte he will speak at the special meeting of the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee. He is expected to call on countries to work together to fight online terrorism, including global terror recruitment campaigns and live streaming of attacks.
In a first, Pakistan ISI chief directly addresses media
This is the first time in Pakistan's history that the head of the country's spy agency has directly addressed the media, Dawn reported. At the outset of the press conference, Gen Iftikhar said the purpose of the conference was to shed light on the killing of the journalist in Kenya and the circumstances surrounding it. This press conference is being held in the context of presenting facts so that "facts, fiction and opinion can be differentiated", he said, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had been "specially informed" about the sensitivity of the press conference.

A report by the Daily Mail claimed Braverman was investigated by national security officials earlier this year as part of an MI5-linked inquiry into a security breach relating to a British spy. Addressing a joint press conference, General Iftikhar said: "On August 5, the KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) government issued a threat alert that regarding ARY anchorperson Arshad Sharif. According to our information, this alert was issued on special instruction of KP chief minister. It warned that the Afghanistan-based TTP held a meeting in Spinboldak and want to target Arshad Sharif in Rawalpindi or adjoining areas," Samaa TV reported.
