Pakistan authorities remove minaret of Ahmadi place of worship

According to the representatives of the Ahmadi community, police cordoned off the street and switched off the lights before going ahead with the removal of the minaret on December 7, Dawn reported. Some religious outfits had been pressing the administration for the last one year to get the minaret removed from the front side of a building since the law bars the Ahmadis from making their places of worship resemble a mosque, the media outlet reported.

NASA's Orion spacecraft completes Artemis I mission

The Orion spacecraft successfully completed a parachute-assisted splashdown in the Pacific Ocean, the space agency said in a blogpost on Sunday. Before powering down Orion and handing it over to the USS Portland's recovery team, engineers will run a number of additional tests while the spacecraft is in the water. Navy divers and other team members will approach the spacecraft in several inflatable boats under the direction of the NASA recovery director.
