Half of unmarried people under 30 in Japan don't want kids: Survey

Of the 400 respondents between 18 to 29 years old, 49.4 per cent said they are not interested in having children, the highest percentage in any of the last three annual pregnancy white paper surveys conducted by Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. By gender, 53.0 per cent of men and 45.6 per cent of women have no interest in becoming parents, according to the online survey.
Business confidence in Pakistan at record low

"Last year's political instability has carried over to combine with various economic crises and exacerbated business insecurity," Dawn news quoted the survey as saying. Wave-9 of the survey is based on interviews with around 520 business owners conducted in the first quarter of 2023 across Pakistan.
Vaccines for cancer, heart disease to be ready by end of decade

Gunmen kill at least 46 civilians in Nigeria attack

Scores of residents were injured while others fled their houses in the attack, which occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday in the Umogidi community of the state, Bako Eje, chairman of Otukpo Local Government Area, confirmed the attack to reporters on the phone in Makurdi, the state capital. According to him, the attackers invaded the community on Wednesday at about 4:15 p.m. local time shooting indiscriminately at everything in sight and killing 46 people.
Global food prices decline for 12th consecutive month: FAO

N.Korea again tests underwater nuclear-capable attack drone

The North tested the Haeil-2 underwater strategic weapon system from April 4-7, according to Pyongyang's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). "The system will serve as an advantageous and prospective military potential of the armed forces of the DPRK essential for containing all evolving military actions of enemies, removing threats and defending the country," Yonhap News Agency quoted the KCNA as saying.
