Portuguese President wins re-election in landslide victory

With 98.87 per cent of the ballots counted, Rebelo de Sousa, who has been in office since March 2016, won by garnering 61.3 per cent of the votes. Meanwhile, former member of European Parliament (MEP) Ana Gomes came came second with 12.54 per cent of the votes, ahead of right-wing party Chega candidate Andre Ventura, who came third with 11.89 per cent of the ballots, the results showed.

Covid-19 Update: Global cases surpass 99 million

In its latest update on Monday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 99,152,014 and 2,128,721, respectively. The US is the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 25,123,857 and 419,204, respectively, according to the CSSE.
Wockhardt at the forefront of UK vaccination: Report

First confirmed case of Covid-19 in pet reported in South Korea

The infected kitten tested positive on Thursday and was found at a religious facility in the southeastern city of Jinju in South Gyeongsang Province. Twenty-nine people were first confirmed to be infected after visiting there earlier this month, and more than 100 linked to the facility, including them, have since tested positive.
