Japanese govt debt increases by record $940bn
The figure showed the biggest annual increase following the fiscal measures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Xinhua news agency quoted the Ministry as saying on Monday. The number logged a record high for the fifth consecutive year. The outstanding balance as of March 31 showed that debt per capita amounted to 9.70 million yen on the basis of the estimated population of 125.41 million on April 1.
Palestine intensifies contacts with international community over E.Jerusalem clashes

Covid 19 Update: Global caseload tops 158.6mn
In its latest update on Tuesday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 158,616,506 and 3,299,447 respectively. The US continues to be the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 32,743,117 and 582,140, respectively, according to the CSSE.

The officials of the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner have confirmed that the bodies of about 750 covid-19 victims are still being stored inside the trucks, according to a report by The City.
