China encroaching along Nepal border

It is the first time there have been official claims from Nepal of Chinese interference in its territory, a BBC report said. The report was commissioned last September following claims that China has been trespassing in the district of Humla, in the far west of Nepal. China's embassy in Kathmandu denies there has been any encroachment. The Nepalese government has not yet responded to queries from the BBC.

In an ongoing civil lawsuit, US District Judge Xavier Rodriguez on Monday ruled that the federal government failed to flag a conviction that might have kept the gunman from legally buying the weapon used in the shooting, reports Xinhua news agency. On November 5, 2017, 26 people were killed and 22 others injured when Devin Patrick Kelley opened fire during a Sunday service at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. Kelley died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound afterwards.
Iran nuke talks to resume in Vienna on Tuesday: EU

Bell at Washington National Cathedral tolls for 905k Covid victims

1 dead during Washington grocery store shooting

The shooting incident inside a Fred Meyer grocery store in the southeastern Washington city of Richland was reported at 11.03 a.m. on Monday, Xinhua news agency quoted the Richland Police Department as saying in a statement. "One person has died and another is in the hospital with injuries. The suspect has been described as a middle-aged white male," the statement added. Police said that officers are still actively searching for the suspect who is "believed to be armed and dangerous".
Taliban rejects UN report of foreign terror groups in Afghanistan

In a statement on Monday, the Taliban's Foreign Ministry said: "The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly rejects the recent report by the UNSC Monitoring Team asserting an increase of foreign groups in Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate deems such reports lacking evidence, documents and addresses neither in the interest of Afghanistan, the region or the world."

Ukrainian, German FMs discuss cooperation in Normandy format

Speaking at a meeting after their talks, Kuleba on Monday said currently, diplomats are preparing for talks of the advisors of the Normandy format, a four-party diplomatic group consisting of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France, in Berlin. "The preparations for the meeting in Berlin are not easy. But we are working to ensure that, at least after the meeting in Berlin, negotiations at the level of Normandy format advisers continue," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister told reporters.
