Jaishankar in Manila, holds talks with Filipino counterpart
This is Jaishankar's first visit to the Philippines as the External Affairs Minister and it comes following the Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting in Melbourne held over the weekend. Taking to Twitter, the Minister said that he held "productive discussions" with Locsin Jr., as "we are entering a new phase of our partnership. Its basis is the mutuality of national security and development aspirations".

Police make progress towards reopening key Canada-US border bridge
The blockade of the bridge connecting the Canadian city of Windsor and the US city of Detroit is likely to end after protesters were cleared out on Sunday, with 25-30 arrests made, said Windsor Police. In a press conference on Sunday, Police Chief Pamela Mizuno said the focus of the police is to reopen the bridge and restore traffic flow in a "safe and sustainable" way, reports Xinhua news agency.

Farah further said that one should not stoop so low in politics that they start to spread lies about the personal lives of people.
