Ukrainian Vice PM calls upon Tim Cook to block Russian users
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Saturday urged Apple CEO Tim Cook to stop supplying products and services to Russian users as a response to its invasion of Ukraine. In an open letter posted on Twitter, Fedorov said he has contacted Cook to block the App Store for people in Russia. However, Fedorov asked Cook to stop App Store services for Russian users too.
Belarusian hackers targeting emails of our defense forces: Ukraine
Belarusian state-sponsored hackers are targeting the private email addresses of Ukrainian military personnel amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-UA) said in a Facebook post that a mass phishing campaign is targeting the private accounts belonging to Ukrainian military personnel. The Minsk-based group called 'UNC1151' has been found to be behind these activities.
Russia continues to hit Ukraine targets
The Russian armed forces have disabled 211 military infrastructure facilities in Ukraine since the operation began on early Thursday, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday night, up from 118 facilities reported in his morning briefing. During the fighting, a large number of weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine over the past few months have been seized.
Any UNSC action should be to defuse Ukraine crisis: Chinese envoy
China's permanent representative to the UN Zhang Jun said that any action by the UN Security Council should be truly conducive to defusing Ukraine crisis. Zhang said China is deeply concerned about the latest developments of the situation in Ukraine. Currently, it has come to a point which China does not want to see, he noted.

Zelenskyy said in a short video address to Ukrainians, "We will defend our country," and said that there's a lot of false information online. "Do not believe in fake information," Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on social media after the sun came up in Kiev on Saturday morning. "I am here. We will be defending our country, because our strength is in our truth."

Affirming nonalignment, India abstains on UNSC Russia vote; strains US ties
India joined China and the United Arab Emirates on Friday evening in staying on the sidelines on the resolution which received 11 votes in the 15-member Council, but was shot down by Russia which as a permanent member used its veto. Explaining the abstention, India's Permanent Representative T.S. Tirumurti said, "It is a matter of regret that the path of diplomacy was given up. We must return to it."
NATO deploying more troops to eastern Europe
North-Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) leaders said they are deploying more troops to eastern Europe after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, BBC reported. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Russia has "shattered peace in Europe". NATO has deployed elements of its rapid response force on land, sea and in the air towards eastern Europe.
Ukraine shoots down Russia's transport plane
Ukraine has shot down a Russian transport plane IL-76 near Vasylkiv town in Kiev region, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement on Facebook, Xinhua news agency reported.
Biden nominates Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for US Supreme Court
Jackson, who currently sits on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, will be the first African American woman serving on the country's highest court if the Senate confirms the nomination. The nomination came nearly a month after Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, a longtime liberal, said that he is about to retire this summer after nearly three decades on the bench. Jackson clerked for Breyer in the 1999-2000 term, Xinhua news agency reported.
