But the rebranding effort actually reflects growing unease among Indian Americans with being tied to the policies and positions taken by the Indian government and to be seen by Americans as representing them. They also feel the need to assert their 'Americanness' while being still attached to their country of origin, by religion now and not politics.
Boris Johnson tops poll of post-war leaders thought to have done a bad job

While Boris Johnson may have had the highest number of people saying he had done a bad job, he also had the fourth-highest number telling Ipsos he had done well.
Covid-19 hospitalisations, deaths may increase with colder weather: WHO

According to the WHO's latest Covid-19 Weekly Epidemiological Update, the number of new weekly cases decreased by 9 per cent to around 5.3 million during the week of August 15 to 21 as compared to the previous week. The number of new weekly deaths also decreased by 15 per cent as compared to the previous week, with more than 14,000 fatalities reported. The WHO chief said that the current subvariants of Omicron are more transmissible than their predecessors, and the risk of the emergence of even more transmissible and more dangerous variants remains.
India, China hold military level talks to discuss routine matters along LAC in Ladakh

According to defense sources, an Indian Army and Chinese Army Division Commander level meeting was held on Wednesday to discuss routine matters related to maintaining peace along the Line of Actuality in the Ladakh sector. Sources familiar with the matter said such meetings are held regularly after every three months at various levels to discuss the issues of maintaining peace and border management.
'Those records do not belong to him': US Justice Department tears into Trump
