According to the Health Ministry, which issued this report on Sunday, South Governorate saw the highest death toll where 48 people were killed and 168 were injured in Ain Al-Delb and Tyre.

The attacks come days after the air strike on Beirut's densely populated southern suburbs on Friday killed the head of Lebanon's Hezbollah group, which had been locked for nearly a year in cross-border fire with Israel.
Hezbollah has said it is acting in support of Hamas militants in Gaza, who attacked Israel on October 7, provoking the war in the Palestinian territory.

Deadly air raids were carried out near Lebanon's main southern city of Sidon on Sunday, said the Health Ministry, while dozens of people died in the east, south, and in and around Beirut.
