The 97th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan brought joy and festivity to the streets of New York. The parade, which is a significant part of the Thanksgiving holiday, featured character balloons, magical floats, marching bands, performance groups, clowns, and music stars. To enhance the experience for spectators, organizers extended the parade's duration by half an hour.

The protesters carried a banner with the message "Genocide then - Genocide now." Additionally, another group of protesters, dressed in white jumpsuits, glued their hands to 6th Avenue while calling for "Liberation for Palestine and Planet." As a result of these protests, the parade was diverted, and some protesters were handcuffed.

The ongoing conflicts between Israel and Hamas in Gaza since October 7 have heightened racial tensions in the United States, leading to various protests across the country.
