Netanyahu: Israeli Army Closing in on Gaza City's Outskirts

While speaking to the soldiers, Prime Minister Netanyahu acknowledged the sacrifices made by the military, saying “We are in the midst of the campaign. We have very impressive successes. We are already on the outskirts of Gaza City. We are advancing. We also have losses, painful losses, because every soldier who falls is an entire world, and our hearts are with the families.” 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday said that the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) are currently positioned on the outskirts of Gaza City, and he has expressed satisfaction with the progress made by the military operation. He made these comments during an address to the soldiers of the IDF's Marom Brigade on a Thursday.

Netanyahu received briefings from unit commanders about their recent activities, which included civilian rescues, counterterrorism operations in areas near the Gaza Strip, marksmanship and sniper team training, as well as emergency response preparations from various parts of the country. He also witnessed an exhibition showcasing the elite units' specialized operational capabilities and equipment intended for use in the ongoing conflict in Gaza and other areas.

While speaking to the soldiers, Prime Minister Netanyahu acknowledged the sacrifices made by the military, saying “We are in the midst of the campaign. We have very impressive successes. He urged non-combatants to leave the area for their safety and emphasized the determination to eliminate Hamas terrorists and secure victory with the support of Israel's people and their faith in the heroic soldiers.
