Netanyahu Asserts Israel's Unwavering Resolve in Self-Defense

According to Netanyahu, the latest Israeli airstrikes against a strategic port, targeting Houthis in Yemen, have been direct retaliation to the Iran-back rebels' drone attack in Tel Aviv that killed an Israeli civilian.

In a clear message to enemies of the State of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the keynote address, firmly protecting its right to self-defense on all fronts. In his televised speech, Netanyahu promised, "All those who seek to harm us will pay a very heavy price for their aggression."

The prime minister said the facility could not be considered neutral infrastructure, as it had served as one of the most important entry points for arms from Iran to its proxies, the Houthis. "The Houthis have used those weapons not only against Israel but also to threaten Arab states in the region and others," he added.

He clarified that the port was not an "innocent port.".

"The port was used as their entry point for weapons that are supplied by Iran to its Houthi terrorist proxies. ‏The Houthis have used those weapons to attack Israel, to attack Arab states in the region, to attack many others" he added.

Netanyahu: "The only reason those attacks have not caused a greater loss of life has been the defensive measures taken by Israel and its allies, which together have intercepted hundreds of projectiles.".

However, Netanyahu stressed that defense alone could not be enough to face the Houthis, and he called for offensive actions, stressing that Iran's proxies must pay a price for their "brazen aggression." "It's needed to ensure that Iran's terror proxies pay a price for their brazen aggression," he said in repeating his message.

He also appreciated the help and cooperation extended by the United States, Britain, France, and others in the international maritime coalition in foiling Houthi attacks.

"But yesterday's drone attack against Israel in the early morning hours makes clear that more than defensive action is required to rein in the Houthis. Offensive action is required, too. It's needed to make sure Iran's terror proxies pay a price for their brazen aggression," he added.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's comments emphasize that Israel is determined to defend its citizens against all kinds of threats coming from Iran-backed groups in this region.
