Nawaz Sharif Announces Candidacy for National Assembly Seat in Mansehra

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is set to contest the upcoming general election from the Manshera NA-15 constituency. Despite objections raised by a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Azam Swati, Nawaz Sharif's nomination papers were cleared by the Returning Officer (RO). Swati argued that Sharif, having been disqualified for life by the Supreme Court, should not be permitted to stand for election.
