VP Harris term has not been a smooth one. As per the latest poll published by The Los Angeles Times on 18th January, Harris’s approval rating stands at 39 percent while 53 percent voters disapprove of her performance. The poll further reports that her net favorability is less than what her predecessor, Mike Pence, commanded after first year in office.  Harris has made hawkish remarks on the illegal immigration inflow form the Mexican border, much to the ire of her party’s voter base, an issue which has always been as sensitive and volatile issue in the American politics. Last month, as per Gallup Poll, 44 percent of Americans approved of Harris’s performance, holding the record of having record lowest approval among all the VPs for the first year in office.
