Iran "has fully reserved its legal right to respond appropriately to such a clear aggression," he said, while stressing that Iran would neither hesitate in doing so nor act hastily.

In the talks, Araghchi said thanks to its armed forces' "readiness and vigilance and the timely performance of the country's air defences," Iran managed to "neutralise the aggression."

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, he said that Tehran claimed that the US "cooperated with Israel" in its attacks against Iran and "therefore, the main sponsors of the strikes are the United States and some European countries."
The Israel Defense Forces announced on early Saturday that it had carried out "pinpoint and accurate" strikes against targets in Iran in retaliation for recent Iranian attacks.

Iran's air defence headquarters says they successfully fended off the Israeli attacks, inflicting only "limited damage."
