Israel Targets Hezbollah Command Centers, Resulting in Deaths of Over 50 Militants

Israel Defence Forces Spokesman, Daniel Hagari said on Tuesday that a live televised press briefing of the airstrike destroyed dozens of underground command centers belonging to Hezbollah's Southern Front, from where the commanding officers who lead the war against Israel were based.

Israel's military said that it launched broad airstrikes targeting Hezbollah underground command centers in Lebanon, where more than 50 militants were killed.

Six senior commanders from Hezbollah's Southern Front and the Radwan Forces were killed, according to reports by Hagari, including Ali Ahmad Ismail, identified as artillery commander of the Bint Jbeil area, and Ahmad Hassan Nazal, identified as head of the attack sector in Bint Jbeil for the Radwan Forces, Lebanon's elite commando unit, Xinhua News Agency reported.

He said that the Southern Front laid an "extensive" network of underground infrastructure and command centers in southern Lebanon, aimed at attacking IDF soldiers during ground combats and at carrying out attacks on communities in Israel.

The spokesman of the IDF added that all the area in which Hezbollah's Southern Front operates together with Radwan Forces had been targeted by the airstrikes.

The total number of sites hit by the IDF in southern Lebanon during the past 24 hours is over 125.

According to the Israeli official statistics, more than 170 rockets have crossed over into Israel on Tuesday, Hezbollah fired the rockets, Israeli attacks killed more than 2,100 and more than 10,000 people have been reported injured.
