Israel Secures Agreement to Deliver Medicine to Hostages in Gaza

The medication is expected to be delivered in the next few days.

Regarding the recent agreement between Israel and Qatar, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that an agreement has been reached to allow the delivery of vital prescription drugs to Israeli hostages in Gaza. 

The medication is expected to be delivered in the next few days. The negotiations, led by David Barnea, chief of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, also included discussions about potentially increasing the quantity of medicines allowed into Gaza for the civilian population. The statement, however, did not specify the progress on this particular issue.

As for the situation in Gaza, approximately 132 individuals remain held by Hamas and other militant groups since their abduction during Hamas' surprise attack on October 7. 

The ongoing Israeli bombardment and siege have contributed to a severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, resulting in over 23,000 casualties, as reported by the Hamas-run Health Ministry.
