According to a joint statement by Israeli security forces, Farwanah and his brother were instrumental in channeling funds critical to Hamas. The funds, originating from Iran and various Arab countries, were transferred through money exchanges operated by the brothers.

The statement highlighted that the financial operations led by the Farwanah brothers aimed to undermine international financial systems, facilitating the covert transfer of funds to Hamas. Over the past few years, the brothers reportedly funneled thousands of million dollars to support the activities of Hamas, contributing to the group's financial stability.
