Hezbollah has broadcast an audio message from its murdered chief Hassan Nasrallah through the group's Al-Manar TV.
The audio message, where Nasrallah speaks directly to resistance fighters participating in a military exercise, said on Sunday: "We count on you. to defend your people, your families, your homeland, your values, your dignity."
Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Dahieh, a southern suburb of Beirut, on September 27 while meeting at Hezbollah's headquarters there with several senior commanders, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Israeli army has been launching intensive airstrikes on Lebanon, particularly on the southern suburbs of Beirut, which is a Hezbollah stronghold, since September 23, in a dangerous escalation with Hezbollah.
There is no information on when the message was recorded. But the fact that it was released serves as a reminder to the militants that the group cannot afford to give up now, with Israel already mounting an unrelenting onslaught against it.
The recording's release coincides with Hezbollah's continued rocket barrages on Israel, almost two weeks since Israel launched its ground incursion into Lebanon. According to the Israeli military, as of 3 p.m. local time Sunday, Hezbollah had fired 115 rockets on Israel.
Hezbollah Sunday said it has conducted over 25 attacks targeting Israeli army bases and amassing gathering sites of soldiers in northern Israel and southern Lebanon including close combat with Israeli soldiers.
Hezbollah also warned Israeli citizens away from "military gatherings."
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah occurred last year when Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets at Israel in support of Hamas at the beginning of the Gaza war.
UN peacekeepers reported on Sunday that Israeli troops burst through a gate and entered one of their positions in south Lebanon.
This is the latest of several incidents the UNIFIL mission has reported since Thursday, which have left five previously injured Blue Helmets.
"At around 4:30 am, while peacekeepers were in shelters, two IDF (Israeli military) Merkava tanks destroyed the position's main gate and forcefully entered the position" in the Ramia area, before leaving 45 minutes later, the peacekeeping force (UNIFIL) said.
In the north-east, Israeli "soldiers stopped a critical UNIFIL logistical movement near Mais al-Jabal, denying it passage", on Saturday, it added.
