Shortly after, another explosion shook the town of Khuzdar, claiming two lives and injuring five others in a bustling marketplace near Umar Farooq Chowk. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as families, including women and children, were present for Eid shopping when the blast occurred, recounted a senior police official.

Responding swiftly, law enforcement agencies rushed to the blast sites, transporting the casualties to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention. Preliminary investigations by the Bomb Disposal Squad indicated that both blasts were orchestrated using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) concealed within parked motorbikes, strategically planted near the Umar Farooq Chowk and the mosque.

Authorities suspect remote-controlled detonation of the motorbike IEDs, further intensifying concerns over the rising wave of terrorism in the region. While no outlawed group has claimed responsibility for the attacks thus far, recent weeks have witnessed a surge in terror incidents perpetrated by banned outfits and militants targeting security forces and installations across Balochistan.

Notably, the banned Balochistan Liberation Army has purportedly claimed responsibility for three significant terror strikes in Mach town, Gwadar port, and a naval base in Turbat, resulting in the elimination of approximately 17 militants by security forces. The relentless cycle of violence underscores the pressing need for enhanced security measures to safeguard civilian lives and maintain peace in the volatile province.
