A US Congresswoman last week disclosed that Xi Mingze, daughter of Chinese President Xi Jinping, lives in America. Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler revealed the news as she introduced the “Protecting Higher Education from the Chinese Communist Party Act.”
On 16th February, Representative Hartzler (of the Republican Party) introduced the said bill “to ban individuals serving in the National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and their family members from receiving student or research visas,” a press release issued by her official website said. “Xi Mingze, the daughter of General Secretary Xi Jinping, previously completed her undergraduate degree at Harvard in 2014 and reenrolled for graduate studies in 2019,” the release further said.

“While the CCP commits genocide and other atrocities, they continue to send their children to the United States to receive a world-class education. This must be stopped… The Protecting Higher Education from the Chinese Communist Party Act puts an end to this practice, effectively halting the advancement of those who are actively working to undermine our nation,” Rep Hartzler said. “During the 2020/2021 academic year, there were over 317,000 international students from China studying in the United States – including family members of CCP officials,” the press release further read.
As per the press release, Hartzler has been sanctioned by Communist Party of China for undertaking measures to censure the regime for its human rights violations against Muslims in Xinjiang province and Christians in China as well as growing Chinese influence in the US universities.

There is not a lot of information available in the public forums regarding Miss Xi Mingze, daughter of President Jinping and his second wife Peng Liyuan. Miss Mingze was born in 1992 and studied French at her high school, Hangzhou Foreign Languages School. She had travelled to the US to study at the Harvard University in Massachusetts under a different name. After graduating in 2014, she was said to have returned to China but based on the Congresswoman’s press release, she is still living in the US.
