23-year-old Indian student dies in US after being shot in chest during armed robbery

Devsish Nandepu, 23, was shot on Sunday night during an incident in Princeton Park on the South Side of the city. Despite being rushed to hospital in critical condition, he sadly passed away just after 4am on Monday morning at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. 

A young Indian man tragically lost his life in Chicago on Tuesday following an armed robbery, according to a report by ABC7 Eyewitness News.

Despite being rushed to hospital in critical condition, he sadly passed away just after 4am on Monday morning at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The incident occurred when Nandepu and a friend, aged 22, were approached by two individuals in a dark-colored vehicle who held them at gunpoint and demanded valuables. 

Both men complied with the demands but were subsequently shot. The friend was also injured, suffering a chest wound and is currently in critical condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center. No arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
