Over the past 84 days, the Israeli military has been implicated in the tragic deaths of 106 Palestinian journalists in Gaza, according to media reports.
The latest incident occurred during an Israeli army attack on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza, resulting in the death of an Al-Quds TV journalist. This brings the total number of journalists killed in Gaza since October 7 to 106, as reported by the Middle East media.
Allegations have surfaced, suggesting that Israel deliberately targeted journalists in Gaza as part of a strategy to stifle the Palestinian narrative, obscure the truth, and prevent the dissemination of news and information to regional and international audiences.
The escalation of tensions began when Israel launched a ground offensive into Gaza on October 27, prompted by a surprise attack from Hamas on October 7, during which 1200 Israelis lost their lives, and more than 200 were taken hostage.
Since the outbreak of hostilities, the human toll has been devastating, with at least 21,507 Palestinians losing their lives, the majority being children and women, while 55,603 Palestinians have sustained injuries. This ongoing conflict has raised serious concerns about the impact on civilian populations and the need for a peaceful resolution to ensure stability in the region.
