Kevin de Bruyne played a decisive role as Manchester City came from behind to win 3-2 against Newcastle United. Bernardo Silva put City ahead, but Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon gave Newcastle the lead. De Bruyne, coming on as a substitute, equalized with a smart finish, and then assisted Oscar Bobb for the 91st-minute winner, placing City two points behind Liverpool.
Chelsea secured a 1-0 win at home against Fulham, with Cole Palmer converting a penalty in first-half injury time. Despite chances for both sides, Chelsea held on for the win.
Burnley was denied a crucial victory in their relegation battle against Luton by a controversial late goal. Zeki Amdouni had given Burnley the lead, but Carlton Morris's injury-time header for Luton resulted in a 1-1 draw.
