Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday said that the war against terrorism is a war for the country and its people.

2 militants killed in Kashmir encounter
"Two unidentified terrorists killed in Bandipore encounter. Operation is in progress," the police said. The gunfight broke out after a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off a part of the Shokbaba forest area in Sumblar and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about militant presence.As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where terrorists were hiding they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.
IED-loaded drone shot down in J&K
"We have brought down one Hexacoptor carrying IED of over five kg as payload," a senior police official said. This is second time that a drone with Improvised Explosive Device payload has been shot down near the international border in Jammu. The earlier drone was brought down by the BSF in the Hiranagar sector. Jammu has been of late witnessing an increased drone activity.
2 terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter
Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces at Alamdar colony, in Danmar area of Srinagar, on Friday, officials said. Earlier, on Friday morning, the firefight between terrorists and security forces took place after a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.
