Vodafone Idea Denies Discussions with Musk for Starlink Management in India

The telecom provider clarified through an exchange filing, stating, "We would like to submit that the company is not in any such discussion with the named party." Following this clarification, Vodafone Idea's stock experienced a decrease of over 4% to Rs 16.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
2 lakh tech employees lose jobs in 2023 to date, more in the offing

As per the data by layoffs tracking site Layoffs.fyi, 695 tech companies have shown the doors to around 1.98 lakh employees so far this year. In comparison, 1,046 tech companies laid off more than 1.61 lakh employees in 2022. In January alone this year, close to 1 lakh tech employees lost jobs globally, dominated by companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce and others.
Vi to introduce 5G mobile cloud gaming service in India

The company said that with 5G's low latency technology, the cloud gaming industry is expected to democratise even further. "The online gaming industry is among the fastest growing entertainment segments in India and with the advent of 5G it is expected to grow many folds. Mobile gaming is a key agenda for us to drive engagement with our consumers", Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Idea, said in a statement.

The company is conducting 5G trials on government allocated 5G spectrum in the cities of Pune and Gandhinagar, along with its technology vendors. In Pune, VIL has deployed its 5G trial in a lab setup of end-to-end captive network of Cloud Core, and new generation Transport and Radio Access Network.
