The 5 states including Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Goa will go for the assembly elections early in 2022. 57.5 percent voters in Manipur and 50.1 percent in Uttarakhand chose Modi as the best PM candidate followed by Uttar Pradesh with 44.4 percent. In Goa 36.1 voters chose Modi as the first choice candidate whereas Punjab at 14.3 percent is the state with least no. of voters who wants Modi as the PM.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, the districts that observed heavy to extremely heavy rainfall were Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Pauri and Chamoli from 8.30 a.m. on Monday till 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday. There were several reports where people called the rain "multiple cloudbursts".
