Harris will make the announcement of her choice at a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

The Trump campaign highlighted the appreciation expressed by Netanyahu toward the administration of the former President for its many accomplishments. These include the Abraham Accords, moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, acknowledgement of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, and withdrawal from the Iran Nuclear Deal. He was killed in a 2020 US drone strike when he was the commander of the Iranian Quds Force.

"Sanatana Dharma has had 'bali pratha' (animal sacrifice) for ages. If Bakri Eid is in their religion, then Bali Pratha is in our religion. I have said that I respect my Muslim brothers.They  are so committed to their religion that they only consume halal meat. To protect and respect your religion, I request that my Hindu brothers stop consuming halal meat and instead only consume jhatka meat. If you don’t get it, don’t eat, no matter how long you don’t get it, " he told news agency ANI on Monday.

Speaking at the Hindu Jagruthi convention here on Saturday, he said, "Attempts have been made to stop the Hindu Ganpati celebrations and then the powers of the Ganpati will come to the entire state. The step of Lord Ganpati will become a road and nobody has the power to stop it. This is the strength of the devotees of Lord Ganesha. Everyone knows what would happen if the powers of Ganesha were shown."

Udhayanidhi made this statement while speaking to media persons on Wednesday.

The party made its stand clear during the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting which began here on Saturday.

The BJP led MP government that was struggling to counter high anti-incumbency after nearly two decades of its rule amid charges of corruption and poor governance, seems to have found an opportunity to corner the opposition Congress led by former chief minister Kamal Nath.

Responding to the statement of the Union Home Minister that Hindi was the uniting force of the country and that it was empowering regional languages, Udhayanidhi Stalin, in a post on social media platform ‘X’ said: "I strongly condemn the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah claiming that Hindi is the uniting force of India and it is empowering other languages."

In a post on X, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said: “The Prime Minister is back to doing what he does best -- insult. He repeated his abuse of INDIA parties as so-called Ghamandia parties. Look, who’s talking! The man who uses the occasion of a govt function to abuse the Opposition. Stooping to his level, one could easily say he heads the GA-NDA coalition—Gautam Adani’s NDA.”

Addressing a rally in Sagar district of poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi said, "They have already started attacking Sanatan Dharma openly which will gradually increase in the coming days. We, the followers of Sanatan Dharm, need to be careful."
