Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon once spoke about why she has no intentions of entering politics.
Known for her bold and outspoken nature, the actress confessed that her honesty and inability to tolerate what is wrong can make survival in politics a tad too tough. An old video of Raveena telling how her unwavering honesty and inclination to fight for what she believes in could make politics a danger zone for her.
In the viral clip on social media, the 'Patna Shukla' actress could be heard saying, "The day I enter politics, someone will shoot me. Because I can't turn truth into lies. It becomes difficult for me as whatever I dislike reflects on my face, and then I start fighting for it. In today's world, honesty is perhaps not the best policy.". That's why whenever people ask me to join the political world, I always say that I would be assassinated very soon. It will be tough,".
In 2022, Tandon was asked during an interactive session on X if she had plans to join politics.
Never say never," she said. Raveena added that, if truth be told, there was a time when she was very serious about joining the world of politics. The 'Mohra' actress narrated that had offers regarding political seats come in for her from West Bengal, Punjab, as well as Mumbai, but then the actress was not ready enough to carry on the responsibilities of a politician.
On the silver screen, Raveena Tandon debuted with superhit film "Patthar Ke Phool" in 1991. She is also famous for many performances in films like "Mohra", "Dilwale", "Aatish", and "Laadla", which were high-grossing films of that time.
She was last seen playing the character of a lawyer in "Patna Shuklla". She also appeared in the movie "Ghudchadi" with Sanjay Dutt.
Raveena's daughter Rasha Thadani is all set to make her Bollywood debut alongside actor Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman with the film "Azaad" directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
