India third largest military spender in world after US, China; Pakistan at 23rd spot
The 10 biggest military spenders were the US ($778 billion), China ($252 billion), India ($72.9 billion), Russia ($61.7 billion), UK ($59.2 billion), Saudi Arabia ($57.5 billion), Germany ($52.8 billion), France ($52.7 billion), Japan ($49.1 billion) and South Korea ($45.7 billion), as reported by the SIPRI organisation. Pakistan ( $10.3 billion) was ranked 23rd on the list.

India overtakes US in daily Covid cases
India recorded 81,466 new Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. About 77,718 new cases were reported in the US on April 1. India has been witnessing a spike in cases since the last three weeks. India recorded its first Coronavirus case on January 30 last year and since then, a total of 1,23,03,131 people have been infected. In the US, the first case was found on January 22 and has now surged to 30,538,427, respectively.
