Tejashwi Yadav joins CBI probe in land-for-job case
Tejashwi reached the CBI headquarters in the national capital at around 10.40 a.m. He had earlier skipped three CBI summons. Before this, he was called to join the probe on March 4, 11 and 14. The last time he did not join the probe was due to his wife's health issues. The agency had recently grilled Tejashwi Yadav's mother.
Tejashwi Yadav likely to appear before CBI in land-for-job case
According to sources, Tejashwi is likely to reach the CBI's headquarters by 11 a.m. Tejashwi had skipped three summons on March 4, 11 and 14. Last time, he did not join the probe citing wife's health issues. Earlier this month, the probe agency had questioned former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and ex-Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.

"BJP has made a chakravyuh for opposition leaders and targeting them by using ED, CBI and Income Tax. Still, someone would doesn't come in the trap, they lodge baseless cases in different cities. It is a subject of deep concern for our Constitution, democracy, politics and the country," Tejashwi Yadav said on his official Twitter account.

This development came a day after Tejashwi approached the High Court challenging the summons issued by the CBI asking him to appear for questioning in the case. During Thursday's hearing, he told the court: "My wife is pregnant, I am a resident of Bihar, the (state) Budget Session is going on till April 5." Tejashwi's counsel contended that in 11 days his client had been summoned thrice -- February 28, March 4 and March 11.
Tejashwi skips third summons in 'Land for Job' scam
This was the third notice issued to him which he skipped. Before this, Tejashwi Yadav was summoned to join the investigation on March 4 and 11, and on the previous summons, didn't join the probe citing wife's health issues. Now, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will send him a new summons in the coming days.

"When ED officials came to my house for a raid, they completed the search operation in half an hour. When we asked them to go from my house as the search was over, they said that they have orders from top bosses to stay in the house for a longer period of time so that news about the raids would run for the day," Tejashwi Yadav claimed.

Land-for-job scam: Rs 53 L seized during ED raids at Lalu's family, associates
According to an official of the probe agency, the recoveries were made on Friday from the residences of close associates and family members of Lalu Prasad in connection with the scam.Raids were conducted at 15 locations including at the Delhi houses of the RJD leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recently grilled former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and Lalu Prasad, the former Railway Minister on the same matter. The ED has also conducted raids in Bihar in the IRCTC scam. The ED's case is on the basis of CBI's FIR.

"I have already asked the CBI about why it is bothering to conduct raids on our house every month. I also offered to open an office inside our residence. They are coming to Patna and spending the money of taxpayers. We always cooperate with the central agency but they have not found any proof of it," Tejashwi Yadav said.
