T20 World Cup: England start with 6-wicket win over West Indies

This was the first time that England beat West Indies in a T20 World Cup match after playing them six times. Adil Rashid (2/4), Tymal Mills (2/17), Moeen Ali (2/17), Chris Woakes (1/12), Chris Jordan (1/7) wreaked havoc with the ball as England bundle out West Indies for just 55 in 20 overs. This was West Indies' second lowest T20I score and lowest in World T20.

Saqlain, who was made the interim head coach following the resignation of Misbah-up-Haq after Ramiz Raja took over as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, has "given pointers to the team on how to cope with the pressure and more". Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 'Super 12' clash against arch-rivals India on Sunday (October 24), Akhtar trained his guns at the Kane Williamson-led side for cancelling their limited-overs tour of Pakistan hours before the start of first ODI in Rawalpindi last month due to "security issues". "Our real anger is with New Zealand. We will take it out on them, we have no issues with you (India)," said Akhtar, speaking to Salaam Cricket 2021 on Friday.

They also lost the last six wickets for 29 runs. Electing to bat first, Oman had a disastrous start as Jatinder Singh was run-out in a big miscommunication with both openers at non-striker's end.

Riding on a quickfire fifty by skipper Mahmudullah (50 off 28) and a vital knock by Shakib Al Hasan (46 off 37), Bangladesh posted a total of 181/7 in 20 overs.
