"You stayed with the BJP most of the time and ate 'malai' (cream) and are declaring me as an agent of the BJP. If you have guts, reply to my questions and go with your nephew (Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to the riot-affected areas and compensate the victims," Owaisi said while interacting with media persons.

Owaisi began his two-day visit to Bihar's Seemancha on Saturday. He said, "Nitish Kumar said that the AIMIM is a party of the Muslim community. I want to tell him that his capacity is limited only to Kurmi and Kushwaha. Nitish Kumar was responsible for making the BJP stronger in Bihar. I have promised to fight for the justice of Seemanchal's people and I am coming here to continue the fight."

He also exuded confidence that the party will increase its strength in Telangana in the elections scheduled later this year. The Hyderabad MP was addressing 65th formation day celebrations of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) at its headquarters Darussalam.

The Hyderabad MP said that in his opinion, the court is wrong. "I disagree with that order. Legal experts know very well and they have also told me that a survey is ordered by a court only as a last resort when there are no papers to prove a title or anything," he told media persons.

"There is no proposal under consideration of government of India for restoration of old pension scheme," Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad told the Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question by AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi.

Owaisi took to Twitter to hit back at Amit Shah and tweeted, "Drunk high on power, India's home minister said we taught a lesson in 2002." The AIMIM leader reminder Shah that power is not permanent. "After coming to power, some people forget that power does not always remain with someone," wrote Owaisi, who is currently campaigning for All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidates in Gujarat Assembly elections.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, the Hyderabad MP said he should defend the Act as it upholds India's diversity. Owaisi wrote the letter in the wake of the hearing in the Supreme Court of a petition challenging the constitutionality of the Act. The apex court has sought the Central government's stand on the legislation.

Owaisi's remarks came after Bhagwat expressed concerns over the population imbalance. In his speech at the annual Dussehra rally of the RSS, he also called for a comprehensive policy to check population rise. The Hyderabad MP alleged that Bhagwat is trying to create fears about Muslims population while the fact is that their population is coming down.

No matter which party was in power in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, the support base of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) remained intact. There has been no change after Telangana was carved out as a separate state in 2014. Despite the reservations the Asaduddin Owaisi-led party had over the division of Andhra Pradesh, the party adapted itself to the new political scenario dominated by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). This friendship and the secular image of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao helped TRS secure the support of Muslim voters.

His remarks came after terrorists killed a Kashmiri Pandit and injured his brother in J&K's Shopian district on Tuesday. Owaisi alleged that the BJP-appointed L-G in J&K has proved to be unsuccessful, adding that removal of Article 370 did not help, as the Centre has failed to provide security to Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
