Shraddha Walker Murder Case

The test was left incomplete on November 25. A senior FSL official said that for the past three days, officials have been asking him questions and the polygraph test is likely to continue further. According to sources, Aaftab was asked about 50 to 60 questions on November 25, to which he replied in English and stayed calm during the entire session.

"The remaining polygraph test shall be conducted on Monday. Few things are yet to be completed. And for a narco test, polygraph test is mandetory," said Rajnish Kumar Singh, Assistant PRO, FSL, Rohini. Aaftab's polygraph test began on Tuesday. However, the test was postponed due to his health conditions.

Aaftab Amin Poonawalla was produced before the Saket court through video conferencing from the Ambedkar hospital, where he was taken for a medical check up. He will be shifted to Tihar jail. Further details are awaited. Sagar Preet Hooda, the Special Commissioner of Police (Law and order), has initiated the legal process for production of the accused for further proceedings in the polygraph test.

The police will most likely seek an extension as the investigation is yet to be completed. Due to investigators not able to extract the information needed to push the investigation further, Poonawalla's polygraph test was also left incomplete on Friday. Sources said that investigators need to extract information from Poonawalla and they need time for it.

The investigators along with Aaftab reached the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini at around 4 p.m. and left at 6.30 p.m. Sources said the polygraph test was incomplete on Friday and another session will take place on Saturday. Teams of Delhi Police had visited Aaftab's house in Chattarpur on Wednesday. "Five knives were recovered during the search on Wednesday... It is not yet clear if they were used in dismembering Shraddha's body. The knives have been sent for forensic examination," the sources said. Meanwhile, a polygraph test on Aaftab is presently underway at the forensic science laboratory (FSL) in Rohini.

Aaftab was taken to the FSL in Rohini on Thursday afternoon where his polygraph or lie-detector test began in the evening, sources said. The sources also said that several questions were asked to Aaftab, leading to some vital clues that will further help the police probe the murder of Shraddha Walkar.

Before reaching FSL, he was also taken to the Ambedkar Hospital for a medical check-up. The sources said that if he is found fit as per the medical report, the polygraph test will be conducted. A pre-medical session to gain some preliminary information which will be later used to develop diagnostic questions, as well as a scientific session, was conducted on Aftab at the FSL in Rohini on Tuesday evening.

Aftab is accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces in May this year. Meanwhile, the polygraph test of Aftab was not conducted on Wednesday at the forensic science laboratory (FSL) in Rohini, and it is likely to take place on Thursday. Sources said that a pre-medical session to gain some preliminary information which will be later used to develop diagnostic questions, as well as a scientific session was conducted on Aftab at the FSL in Rohini on Tuesday evening.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the home portfolio, said he had seen the contents which were "very serious", and said the matter needs to be investigated. "Without blaming anybody, we need to know the truth... If the police had acted in a timely manner, this (killing of Shraddha by Poonawala) could have been avoided," Fadnavis told mediapersons.
