National Herald case: Rahul reaches ED office for 4th time

He will be questioned by a three-member ED team and will also be given lunch break. Rahul Gandhi's questioning was to be done on Friday, but he wrote to the ED to postpone it citing the illness of his mother Sonia Gandhi. The ED had accepted his request and had postponed the questioning for Monday.

The Congress workers had assembled outside the ED office in a show of solidarity with their leader. The detained protesters were taken to the Kapashera board by bus. According to an official, three senior officers of the financial probe agency questioned the former Congress president. "The team consisted of two Assistant Directors and one Deputy Director," said the official.Earlier, Gandhi reached the ED office located at Paryavaran Bhavan on APJ Abdul Kalam Road amid heavy police deployment that was put in place to restrain party workers from carrying out a rally from Congress HQ to the ED office.

There was heavy police deployment in and around the ED office located at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road. As he left the party headquarters at 24 Akbar Road, several Congress workers accompanied him. The police however, did not allow them to move further and only Rahul Gandhi was permitted.
